Eye Shadow is a type of cosmetic that is applied on the eyelids and underneath the eyebrows to make the user’s eyes stand out and give the eyes a more attractive look. Eye shadow is mainly worn by women but even some men have been spotted wearing a shade or two. Mostly Goth guys wear it and TV personalities have been known to wear it. Eye shadow comes in powder, liquid, pencil or mousse.

Eye shadow brings out the colors in your eye color and brings out the features in your eyes. In the 70’s blue eye shadow was the biggest thing and in the 80’s it was purple and today, there are so many shades and colors that every woman wears a different colors. If you line up 5 women may be 2 out 5 will be wearing the same color, it may be a different shade but the same color.

Some women like to go light, people with light eyes seem to go darker to bring attention to their eyes and the dark eyes can go dark as well as light. The cosmetic company that seems to be the “it” company is M.A.C, TV stars use it and some movie sets use it as well.
